How To Measure?

In doing sofa and chair reupholstery, the first thing to do is to figure out how much fabric you need for your furniture. Measuring your sofa and chair is not as hard as you think it is. All you need to have is a measuring tape, a pen and a paper. Here are the guidelines to help you on what to measure on your sofa and how to measure it.

Measure:
A- Outside Width (From left to right at the back of your sofa)
B- Inside Width (From left to right at the back rest of your sofa)
C- Inside Height (From top to bottom back rest of your sofa)
D- Outside Height (From top to bottom side of your sofa)
E- Outside Depth (From corner to corner side of your sofa)
F- Front Gusset Width (From left to right at the front of your sofa)
G- Seat Height (From top seat to bottom at the front of your sofa)
H- Over Arm to Seam
I- Arm Depth
J- Seat inside Width (From left to right at the seat of your sofa)
K- Seat inside length
L- Arm front Width
M- Arm Front Height
N- Arm outside Height (From the top seam to the bottom of your sofa)
